08:49 pm - Help?
'ullo!
I'm a Katrina Student about to go home to New Orleans.
Originally my father was going to drive me adn my stuff down to the dorm rooms there but he has to stay offshor until near the end of June. My lease runs out at the end of this month and school starts the first week of June anyways.

So, instead I am stuck catching the train. The problem is I only have one carry on size piece of roll on luggage and a back pack. And almost no funds.

Does anyone have a large piece of luggage they could lend/donate?

my father is bringing me up to retreave my some of my things from storage when he gets back in so I am capable of returning the luggage.

10:39 pm - Help
Hi,

My name is Tiffany and I was wondering if anyone is in the Film Video Program in the Department of Communication (or if they know anyone who is). I was recently accepted into the M.A program and I want to know if anybody has any opinions on the program. I'm desperate for information since I have to make my final decision about graduate school pretty soon. Please contact me if you have any thoughts or opinions on the M.A program in Communication, the Film Video program, the University of Memphis, or the city of Memphis in general. You can leave a comment here or drop me an e-mail (spiffy.tiff@gmail.com)

Thanks so much for your time,
~Tiffany

Ambient/electronic music pioneer Robert Rich will be in concert at the University of Memphis Psychology Auditorium this Friday, April 7th, at eight pm. Ten bucks buys two hours of travel into deep space.

An evening featuring sonic surrealism, organic electronics and ethereal visuals.

There will be an article on him and the concert in this week's Memphis Flyer; this is his only visit to this area of the country. For more info visit http://www.robertrich.com/

03:00 pm - Meet new people Memphis alert!
I think I have a great opportunity for some gals out there who are also looking to meet new people to gather in one place where we can all be awkward, but the COOLEST kind of awkward:)

I'm hosting a spa escape at my house next Thursday, the 16th and at least once monthly from here out. Basically it's a chance to enjoy some "me" time, kick back and be pampered. I went to my first one two weeks ago and had a great time; I don't think I really realized how stressed I was and felt 100 times better afterwards.

If you're a Mom (I have two boys but this is a KIDLESS escape!), if you're harried, if you work too hard, if you want to meet new people, or maybe you just want to eat free food, please come!

Guys, why don't you give your girlfriends and wives an after-Valentine's day treat and give them the night off!

I'm screening comments, so please leave me an email address or a number where I can call you. I am almost completely deaf but can speak, so I would be contacting you via Tennessee relay, which comes up as a 1800 number from wherever the call is routed through.

Thanks for bearing with me!

x-posted Memphis_*

02:02 pm - like whoa...
Does nobody even remember this community?

I'm a New Orleans transfer stuck here thru the end of the spring semester at least.
I can't seem to find any decent communities for the U of M any where on the web...

Any suggestions?
